• (1) The Tenant Fees Act 2019 is amended as follows.
  • (2) In section 1(4) (permitted contractual arrangements)—
    • (a) omit the “or” at the end of paragraph (a);
    • (b) after “tenant” in paragraph (b), insert “, or
    • (c) insurance required under section section 16C(1)(a) of the Housing Act 1988 (insurance where landlord consents to keeping of a pet).”
  • (3) In Schedule 1 (permitted payments), after paragraph 11 insert—
    “Payment in respect of pet insurance
    12 A payment is a permitted payment if it is required under section section 16C(1)(b) of the Housing Act 1988 (reasonable costs of 10
    landlord having insurance where landlord consents to keeping of a pet).”
